Come pitch a trip you’re excited about – this can be as detailed or vague as you want! Women’s+ Beacon Practice and Avalanche Trivia

Nov 16

Join the women’s+ of SAC to get ready for ski season with some beacon practice in Pacifica followed by some avalanche themed trivia at Humble Sea Brewing.

(intro to) Mountaineering – Mount Shasta

June 6-8

In addition to being close(ish), Mount Shasta is a wonderful place to practice foundational mountaineering skills before attempting bigger mountains, wether it is your first or 100th mountaineering trip :)

Come practice your knots with the knottiest folks around! We'll have snacks, practice bolts & rope, and ✨STICKERS✨

You don't have to be a knot wizard to join -- come as you are! You can also say heck no to knots (we see you, boulderers 👀) and come purely for the snacks and vibes :)

Women’s+ Climb Hours @ AOERC climbing wall

Friday February 28th from 12-2pm

• 12-1 is women+ of SAC only; the gym opens for all at 1 but it’s typically quiet until 2

• All levels welcome! The wall has shoes (& harnesses) you can borrow, you’ll just have to do a quick safety orientation if it’s your first time (you can also do before!)

• Learn to wax your skis/snowboards! We'll have all the equipment, just bring yourself & your skis/board

(Intro to) Backcountry Skiing

January 18-20th

Do you love backcountry skiing, but don't have a group to go with? Do you think touring looks super fun, but have never had the chance to try it? Come back country ski with the women+ of SAC MLK weekend in Tahoe! We are going early in the season so you can make all the backcountry buddies you need for the rest of the winter ❄️

This trip is for the femmes and thems of SAC, and is intended to be a welcoming environment and a more accessible avenue to go backcountry skiing! If you are a backcountry pro or if you want to try it out with a group of supportive gems, this trip is for you :)
