The Wilderness Medicine Interest Group is hosting a Wilderness First Aid (WFA) Certification course on the weekend of April 2-3. There are a few open spots left to anyone who wants them. They will fill on a first come, first serve basis, so reserve your spot now! Email Ashley Laird (alaird AT stanford.edu) to sign up. Please provide your address/phone number too so that Foster Calm can send you your syllabus and class materials. Bobbie Foster from Foster Calm will be teaching the course. It is a 16-hour class that involves both classroom time and hands-on workshops. It will be held in Fairchild Auditorium/Lobby at the medical school from 8am-5pm on both Saturday and Sunday (April 2-3). The cost is $78 per person. If you are interested in wilderness medicine, love the outdoors, or just want to gain some practical medical skills, then this is the course for you! It is low-key and lots of fun!
