Want to learn how to climb and rappel? Want to learn the basics of rope safety and how to belay your climbing partners? Well then come join the Stanford Alpine Club for a day of outdoor instructional fun on our Beginner Instructional Trips. These classes are open to anyone in the Stanford community, regardless of their past climbing experience. If you've never climbed before that's great. If you've done some gym climbing, but never gone outdoors, that's also perfect. If you have any questions about these courses, please contact rockrat7@yahoo.com.
Regardless of whether you fill out the below application or not, you are only registered once the trip fee is paid (non-refundable). Who and when to pay will be posted shortly. In addition to the cost of the trip, which covers your gear, you will also be expected to help chip in for gas for the drivers.
This class is being taught continually through out the year in an effort to reach everyone who may be interested in learning how to climb. Stay tuned for course announcements.
